Message: 2467, that's a hard one, try to get a code from the computer, that may help. To do that turn the key on then off 3 times and leave it on the last time, (don't make the starter work) the Check Engine light should flash a few times then pause then flash some more. I think your truck only uses the 2 digit codes, if you get a 12, first 1 flash then pause then 2 flahes that means you have had the battery disconnected, then a 55 means that's all the codes. There are so many things that can cause what you are describing you wouldn't want to just start throwing parts at it and see what fixes it. Auto Zone will run the codes for you as well, and can tell you what is wrong if they get a code from it. One caution though, I had a problem where I couldn't get any codes, the problem turned out to be a bad ground, so every time the ground broke, it cleared the computer of any codes. So you might want to check the grounds first, and be sure they are clean and tight.
Good Luck,

Message: I did have codes come up 52, 13, 15, 12, 55, so I changed o2 sensor, pressure regulator, coil, idle cylenoid, map sensor, tp sensor speed sensor, fuel filter, dis.cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and it still runs rough

Message: Pam, sounds like you have been busy for sure, do you have the TBI (throttle body injection) or multi-port? It could still be a lot of different things, except now it can get very exspensive, for example a fuel injector, best to have them checked and not just replace them, you will need to buy, or find someone that has a fuel injector tester, and check the fuel pressure as well. I have that stuff, but I live in Rogers Arkansas.
It could also be something as simple as the EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation) I think if it were me I would remove the EGR and spray some carb cleaner into the intake manifold and clean the EGR valve as well, that would make sure it is sealing good when its supposed to be closed.
They tend to cause a lot of rough idle problems.
That's all I can think of for now. Good luck.

Message: Pam, if it ran smooth with the vacuum line disconected then the valve that controls the EGR is bad, the only thing is as far as I know you can't buy just the control valve, it all comes as one unit I think. The EGR should only open above about 1500 RPM, other wise it makes the engine run rough. (as you found out)
It wouldn't hurt to leave it off, unless it starts to ping a lot. The EGR lets exhaust into the clyinders to cool the charge to help control pinging.Well, it helps exhaust emmissions as well. Also if you leave the vacuum line off you should plug the end so you won't lose vac.
When I remaned my 3.9 I replaced the EGR and if I remember correctly it cost about 65 dollars.
I realize you have spent a lot of money on this thing already, so if you need to save a few weeks I wouldn't worry about it for now.
You did good young lady, OK I am assuming you are a young lady, you still did good,

Message: Pam, I was thinking and it could be that the vacuum line is connected to manifold vac. instead of port vac. It should be connected to a port vac because it wouldn't have any vacuum going to it at idle and would , or should run smooth that way.
