 Subject: inner tie rods

I need to change my inner tie rods and I was just wondering how difficult this is to do? I have changed my outer ones and I went to get an alinement and they said that the inner tie rods need to be changed but they are not in the manual. It does not look to diificult but I am not sure about the rubber boots and how far they should screw in. If anyone could help that would be great!!
