Message: you can use your old bolt. spend the 2 bucks for a new gskt. and what year is the tb? earlier years had an EGR, later years like yours don't. there is a slight difference in the TB's. i think '96 & up don't so if the TB is from '96 or newer your good. also the throttle cable end that fits on the tb is different. you can modify the linkage on the tb or buy a v8 throttle cable(about 30 bucks).

Message: I spent about 60 bucks to chang mine over ($30 for the v8 TB, and another $30 for the new cable--brand new from dealer). I had issues routing the new throttle cable through the fire wall but other wise it was well worth the money...in my opinion.
Good luck if you do it.

Message: for 25 bucks it's worth it. that's what i paid for a v8 tb for my truck and the guy i bought it from already modded the linkage so i just had to bolt it on and go.

Message: The V8 swap
The low end off idle to about 1800 2000 rpm
will remain the same after that you will notice
the gains from 2000 to redline
Average gains dyno proven 100's of times is
15 to 18 hp and 20 to 25 torque at the rear wheels
Well worth doing mileage gains if you keep your
foot out of it around 1.5 to 2 mpg providing all
your sensors are working properly
Also start and stop 3 times after bolting on for
the computer to learn new idle settings and
around 200 miles to completly learn the added flow
