my truck has 124000KM on it and I am getting a 3-4 shift error, I am also noticing that when driving it I am hearing the rpm's alot higher then they should be. I have a tranny shop do a scan and give me the error code, they then told me it would be between $2500 and $3000 to get the rebuild done. I live in Canada but I think that is pretty high..anyone have any suggestions for me?

autozone will scan it for free. some advance autos too.
