I have a 2002 dakota QC 3.9. I am replacing the factory muffler. Is there and performance or sound difference by going dual out or single out. Is the only benefit of the dual out for the looks.

looks better...performs worse...that is what everyone says. unless its true duals. supposedly you lose to much backpreasure with dual outlet. I personally have a gibson 3" single side swept. works great.

your better off ,performance wise, going with a
true dual exhuast. it'll cost a little more but
your'll run better. If money is an issue then the
obvious choice is to jsut replace the muffler.
Flowmaster and Gibson appear the be the mufflers
of choice on this website. I'm currently saving
money to get two flowmaster 40's to complete the
parts list for my true dual on my 2000.
