Subject: rough idle map sensor vacuum line IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know where to get a replacement hose for the map sensor vacuum line on a 01 Dakota 3.9 beside the dealer?
Mine cracked and split and caused a headache for a month until I found it and it solved a very rough idle. I had to tape the splits and it created a temporary fix. Is the silicone versions better for this or should I go with the factory brand?

Message: Like boomer said you can get it at parts stores. be sure to tell them it's vac line. they have vac and fuel lines. you can take yours in as a references. they have a little gauge they stick the hose on to get a size.
they sell it by the foot usually.

Message: Check with your local junkyard tell them what exactly what your looking for,you might have to bring sensor and show them vacuum connection you are looking for, they should have it most V-6/3.9L 's with MFI 93-03 have the same little vac hose connection

Message: You have to remove the map sensor to get to it, very small hose, L-Shaped. Just be careful when pulling map sensor off.
