I have an 02 v6 bare bones Dakota reg cab. I want to know what size tires I can fit with my 3" body lift that I ordered? I was thinking of the BFG Mud Terrains 31x10.5 r15. I don't want them to scrub, but a little bit can be taken care of with an air saw.

88 3.9 5 speed 4X4
with the first gen, without any modifacations I can get 30X9X15's without any problems but with a 3" body lift you should be able to use 31x10.5's without any problems.

hey thanks. I have changed my mind on the tire selection. I am staying with the same size, but going with discovery dakota m/t. They're cheap, have a very similar tread pattern as the bfg's, made by cooper, and last quite awhile about 50k miles.

i dont know much bout your truck but my dakota is a 98 4x4 its stock with 31x10.50 bfg a/t

If it took a 3" BL to fit 31's its gotta be 2wd.

I should have gone with bigger, but i have been on some suspension benders lately and I think anything bigger would have scrubbed. And yes it is 4wd. But next time I'm going with 33's if I haven't done a suspension lift by then.
