I have a 93 dodge regular cab,with a 5 speed manual trans. Truck idles fine and starts ok. Problem is when the engine reaches about 2000 rpms it just wont take any more fuel. It bogs down and wants to cut out. It will backfire and sputter. When you shift to another gear and the rpms fall below 2000 it seems to be ok.as long as i keep the rpms down it runs fine. Over the 2000 mark and it bogs down real bad. Any help would be appreciated.

scan o2 sensor

start there

You may also have an ignition problem

Not sure if you got this working yet. Here's what fixed my exact prob you're having on my '92 3.9 that's getting ready to turn 100k - (re) index the distributor. I found and old ref to a TSB on this and it would have saved me a few parts, if I would have found it first. Check here:

Now, I didn't get too "digit head geek" on this one... For me, a very slight counter clockwise adjustment to the distrbutor - Problem solved.
