I've got an '88 3.9 Dakota and the fan clutch has gone bad and am looking to put an electric fan on. I've searched past posts and found something about a black magic 150. Will this work for an 88? The dimensions seem off. Thanks

I'm doing a E-Fan on my 91 Dak soon i just got my relay and controller and some other extras i wanted. the fan i'm using if srom a '94 ford taurus got it for free but i hear they are super cheap at a junk yard and will outpreform most aftermarket fans and as for the dimensions being off if its too big you have a problem but if the fan is slightly smaller than your rad it shouldnt be a big deal i know my fan is slightly smaller but i've heard them using these fans on supercharged fox body mustangs with no overheating.

3000 cfm I run a permacool 2950 16" and it works
great

I had a fan out of a 90 olds cutlas for years and
that worked good also

just make some brackets and mount in your fan
shroud

a good flexolite thermo control and a 30 amp relay
and your all set

summitracing has the thermo switch around $30

So as long as I use a 3000 cfm fan in my shroud with wiring kit I'll be set right? Thanks for all the info.
