Subject: 3.9L running terrible...no idiot lights IP: Logged
Message: Originally it wouldn't accelerate and idle roughly only when the engine was cold. Now it does it when the engine is cold and warm. I can plant the throttle and it will only maintain, until eventually something will give and it will take off like normal. I have yet to see any idiot lights. It has 80,000 miles, manual tranny, and the plugs and wires were replaced 10,000 miles (a year) ago as a preventative measure. Any thoughts??

Message: I had a similar problem with my truck (2002 5 speed)around same mileage. ended up being the fuel pump. Did you replace the cap and rotor with your last tune up?

Message: could be the engine temp sensor. did you try the key on/off/on/off/on trick to display. you can sometimes trip a code without a light.
