sorry but i have to disagree
with all the mods ive done
CPS, IAT, TPS, cold air intake, K&N
high flow conveter, perm. muffler
i only use 7mm wires, NGK FR5's
brass cap & rotor
i am not only getting far better mpg's but the truck is just more fun to drive
i also check tire pressure twice a week

Curly. The kid stated he is not mechanically inclined. Give him a chance to learn a few things so as to get some understanding what gives with motors. Yes there are tricks and I'm truely surprised you got all this new power just tinkering. The kid stated he had 400 bucks left to do all this. I agree with daddio . forget the headers. I said that prior to knowing what he had to work with. Curly IF and I say IF he does things backwards as your saying, his money will be gone without getting his truck in top shape. All these ideas except the tune up things are putting your butt in front of your feet. Get the truck spot on as DADDIO said and then play with the other things ONE AT A TIME. I'm not trying to rip you Curly. The kid needs to learn to walk before he runs. He will be glad he did.

so heres an update i just got my air cleaner, fastman, all synthetics were already in I check my tire pressure. I already don't drive like a maniac and I put in the dynomaw and am waiting on my superchip. I also figured out how to do the cps mod by myself today. I can really tel a diff. I runs much smother and gets up to speed quicker at a lower rpm.
