What tranny are you asking about? If it's the NV3500 all you need is the Mopar fluid, or you can use Amsoil's equivilent, or you can use Pennzoil's Synchomesh fluid. The same goes for the NV1500 used with my 1999 RC. No friction modifier is needed.

Other trannies use different lubes. Most older manual trannies use gear oil (75W, 80W, 90W, etc.). Some specifics would help us point you in the right direction (what year, engine, 2WD/4WD, etc.)...

What's your left foot doing?

No additives requiered

I will recomend a good synthetic fluid like
the Amsoil

For some reason the manual transmissions when
changed over to the synthetic fluid they just
shift so much smother and easy not to mention
the small mileage gain from the synthetic itself

Just the best way to go here

What I do is change it twice first time run
1000 miles than change again when hot drain
the synthetic will clean the inside oil
passages flowing better and running cooler
