as some may have read i've returned all mods back to factory as much as i didn't want to. I'm just using too much gas. I'm pretty sure all my sensors are lazy as i'm nearing 80,000 miles including the 4 (yes 4 of them!!!)o2 sensors,F me!!! it could be awhile till i get the money together for all these sensors and the mods just make my MPG worse in the meantime. anyways, forgot the tps sensor was still at .7v. will this alone do anything for me? what about affecting MPG? anyone know?? i'll just put the drilled out bushings back in and screw it back on then it will be pretty close to where it was from factory. i did leave the flow master on though, exhaust work is a pain in the A!! i'm gonna miss er' how she used to be but times are gettin rough and the companies we work for aint getting anymore gracious about raises! bastards!!!

You do realize that most mods INCREASE gas mileage, right...?

...as long as you keep your foot off the gas.

I think the main mod that DECREASES gas mileage is the 180*F thermostat and for some, relocating the IAT sensor.

yes as long as everything else is in good standing and i don't think some of my sensors are up to par anymore. I've relocated and returned the IAT sensor so many times cause i could never decide between performance or MPG. I wonder if my IAT is working right anymore from tampering with it so much. I have the stant 195 in right now, supposed to reach the optimal temp with that stat. I never did seem to get an overall increase with all the mods though, not even 2 or 3 gallons, always seemed to be worse.

When things turn out worse

Just to show you what happens heres 2 trucks
2 diff sensors gone bad

95 V6 TPS this sensor was doind weird things on
and off

off idle would rev and starve for gas
idle rough and serge
when crusing and letting off gas a slight serge
you could feel

NO TROUBLE CODES
the TPS sensor was hopping between 0.5 and 0.6
watching it with the scanner
replaced with new oem
All symptoms went away

88 ram V8
loss of power at times
would not idle at times
sometimes good mileage 20+ than crap mileage
all symptomes intermitant
I did have a map sensor code on this one

Key off
sensor ground return to batt - GOOD
5 volt supply key on GOOD
Vac supply GOOD
so I use a long soeing needle I took from the
old lady probed the signal wire
at idle 1.2 OK
tried to rev up would dye off
map never moved from 1.2 volt
hit gas farther to get it to rev up
sensor went to 2 volts and stayed there never up
never down than when he let off back to 1.2 volt

This is an example of an extreamly lazy sensor
the Vac is changing constantly and so should the
map sensors voltage I laughed when I seen this
LOL it was the worst yet LOL some just stay at
1 setting and never move but will trp the code
right away when they get that bad

see some days this 88 ram 318 throttle body
injection would run great next day like crap
and check engine light

so you see these sensors do go bad and do weired
things but not always do they trip the light
fantastic, you know fantastic now I have a problem
with my truck
