Message: There are lots of converstaions on this board regarding the Autolite 3923 plugs. I have them installed in my V-6, just as I am sure most of the people who come here.
This is my opinion of them:
The plugs work great. My 98 Dak 4 by 4 had an idle problem. Changing to the Autolite plugs made a HUGE difference. Smooth the idle out quite a bit. As far as what you should pay for them, I spent $1.19 a piece on them. Most Walmarts carry them as well as most auto part stores, I am sure. If not, ask them to order them.
The other thing you should do is well as change the thermostat from the stock 195 to 180. If you live in area where you experiance winter 5 months out of every year, you won't even know the difference between the lower heat in the cab.
Keep reading the other message posts. I have learned alot from this website and have done most of the mods the other people have done to their trucks.

Message: 01Magnum, not sure if they will cure your idol problem since most of us IDOLize our trucks, or so it seems.
But they will help with the rough idle, which seems to be a common problem with the V6 Magnum engines.
As for changing the T-Stat, what I was trying to say is that you won't feel that much of a difference with the heat in the cab when it is cold outside.
Changing the T-STAT from 195 to 180 helps keep the engine cooler and produces MORE POWER.
Changing the plugs in your truck to Autolite 3923's produces MORE POWER, since they are a colder heat range than stock ones are.
Does this make sense??

Message: i cant really tell that theres that much difference maybe because i thought i had champion
plugs and i had autolite and the only difference with the new ones i put on was the number and now i have the platinum ones so i dunno.
I havent been able to add $hit to my truck for a long time but now iam slowly adding stuff.
I have a 97 SLT V6 Black ext. cab
DUAL exhaust FLOWMASTER coming out the back at 45s with 3" angled chrome tips and that help my truck alot considering power and acelleration and the sound of it when its idling is awsome.iam fixin to get a power chip and a new air system with the ram hood hopefully but the again thats a maybe.LATERZ
