have a 91 Dakota 4X4 V6 with intermittent oil pressure at the dash gauge. Where exactly is the oil pressure sending unit? Been underneath and on top and it isn't the easiest piece to find. Thanks!

I replaced it in my old 95. It was located at the back on the engine by the firewall between the EGR and the distributor cap.
You can get a special socket to remove it. I got one from advance that was not deep enough. I bought one from napa that was perfect and it was a little cheaper.
I may have posted instructions on how to check the guage. If you search you should find more info.

check your local auto zone
if you buy the part there you can (if they have the tool) get it on borrow terms
however i would suggest you hook a mechanical up first to make sure it is really the gauge
