AMSOIL Synthetic Oil is only $5.40 qt. (June 2007)

Problem Child,

In regards to your original post"

"AMSOIL - Hum, What ya think"?

Oil discussion (primarily on sites that let people post without registering) can be as hot a topic as discussing religion or politics ... and that is fine. This is America and everyone has a choice.

However, we could do without al the unnecessary silly posts that add nothing to the topic of conversation.

My suggestion (since your thread has been hijacked) is to request a FREE Amsoil Catalog by clicking the following link. In the catalog there are articles and testimonials from vehicle owners who have switched to Amsoil.

You have a choice when it comes to what you buy for your truck.

All I ask is that you "CONSIDER" Amsoil.

Thank You,

i was told that my post would get burried when i responded to this amsoil thread
and it did
with nothing but childish crap and the amsoil sales person never ever responded
so here again my post (complete)

some are not flames at all
but simply state problems they have had using amsoil
but you guys try and make everyone believe its a flame

i personally used amsoil for a few years
and had major problems
i will never use one of their products again
and would not advise anyone else to use them either

here is what i went through

i had a warranty problem using amsoil
the engine suffered lifter failure
and the dealer would not honor it under warranty
because of longer periods between changes
that amsoil claims your safe to do
and 2ndly when they drained the oil to check it
it was very thick
they told me i was using too heavy a weight
however it was amsoils 5-30 that for some reason got very heavy

to cut to the point
it was up to me to hire a lawyer and fight this

i sure hope no one thinks amsoil will help you
and after talking with a lawyer he explained that the costs of his fee's to fight the motor companies lawyers would go far past the cost of me paying for the repairs myself
which by the way is what i had to do
not to mention the lawyers consultation fee

John N,

If you had a valid complaint you would have contacted me (or Amsoil) directly. It is not my policy to reply to complaints in a public forum. However, since you continue to ask for my comments, here they are:

THE BOTTOM LINE

QUESTION: Could your new vehicle warranty be voided if you don't change your oil according to the manufacturers recommended change intervals, such as when using AMSOIL?

ANSWER: Absolutely not.
_________________________________________________

AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are guaranteed to run 25,000 miles to 35,000 miles (Series 2000 Severe Service 0w-30 oil) or one year - in mechanically sound engines, providing of course the oil is kept free of contaminants by changing the oil filter according to the manufacturer's recommendation or when using an AMSOIL oil filter changing the filter at 6 months or 12,500 miles (for gasoline engines), whichever comes first.

This is for NON-SEVERE service - mostly highway driving. Otherwise, on the back of every AMSOIL bottle we recommend extending oil change intervals to between 2 to 3 times manufacturers recommendations (this is for SEVERE service such as city driving, stop-and-go, off-roading, towing, etc.)

AMSOIL synthetic motor oils provide extended drain performance because they don't break down in heat like conventional motor oils do. AMSOIL motor oils don't form performance-robbing deposits, and don't volatize (burn off), which alters viscosity and increases oil consumption.

Finally, AMSOIL's superior additive package, a key element in the oil's ability to function, holds up under engine stresses, remaining serviceable for the full 25,000 to 35,000 miles, or indefinitely when AMSOIL By-Pass Filtration and oil analysis is used.

HOW TO REMEDY A SERVICE CENTERS DENIAL OF WARRANTY

If there is ever a question of whether or not a particular oil was the cause of an engine failure make sure to get a sample of the used oil in a clean bottle (typically 6 oz. minimum). The oil can then be sent to two independent testing labs for analysis (labs are located throughout the country).

ONLY ... repeat - ONLY in the case of an oil being determined to be the DIRECT CAUSE of an engine problem can a manufacturer or dealership deny warranty coverage for that specific problem. In this situation the AMSOIL warranty would apply, and the AMSOIL Technical Services Department would assist you in processing your claim and getting your vehicle repaired. That's AMSOIL's pledge to you.

AMSOIL Inc. sells millions of gallons of oil per year and warranty claims are a rare occurrence. If you ever have a warranty problem with an automobile manufacturer (or snowmobile, boat, RV, motorcycle, etc.) or dealership, AMSOIL will assist you by analyzing the problem and providing data supporting the fact that repairs should be made under the vehicle manufacturer's warranty. If this does not resolve the problem. AMSOIL will submit a claim with their insurance company and request that an adjuster have the vehicle repaired and pursue legal settlement later if necessary. The fact is there never has been an engine failure attributed to the non-performance of AMSOIL products, and we do not expect there ever will be. If it ever did, both AMSOIL and their insurance company would make certain your problem was resolved.

ASK FOR A STATEMENT IN WRITING

If a car dealership, service center or other business states that using AMSOIL will void your new vehicle warranty, ask for that statement in writing and send it to AMSOIL Technical Services (AMSOIl Inc., AMSOIL Bldg, Superior, WI 54880). If the business won't provide the statement in writing send AMSOIL Technical Services a letter identifying who made the statement, the name and location of the business and what the specific statement was. AMSOIL will then send a letter to the business informing them that their position is inaccurate, and, in fact violates existing law. Your name will be held in confidence.

Now ... what do you suggest as NEXT STEPS?

QUESTION: How does one remedy a denial of warranty?

ANSWER: If a car dealership, service center or other business states that using AMSOIL will void your new vehicle warranty, ask for that statement in writing and send it to:

- AMSOIL Technical Services
- c/o AMSOIl Inc.
- AMSOIL Building
- Superior, WI 54880

If the business won't provide the statement in writing send AMSOIL Technical Services a letter identifying who made the statement, the name and location of the business and what the specific statement was. AMSOIL will then send a letter to the business informing them that their position is inaccurate, and, in fact violates existing law. Your name will be held in confidence.

there have been numerous complaints about amsoil
most of which are trouble with the oil getting thick and heavy

not to mention someone who also visits this site and knows me just emailed me
explaining you recently had more then one person on here telling of how they had transmission trouble while using amsoil and the warranty would not cover it

you told these people to email you
they did
you never responded and all you did then and are trying to do now is try and cover the post
you sir are very childish
i have a 14 year old daughter who not only acts but is far more mature then you are

seems to me you like plastering web pages with amsoil praise but when they is bad to be said you just want it buried

with sales as with politics
you want to be public then expect and learn to take the good with the bad
because nothing - no matter what, is all good

good day to you~

I point out for the flamers that in addition to superior AMSOIL synthetic lubricants and our own line of AMSOIL filters ...

AMSOIL carries the complete line of WIX and Donaldson Filters which are supplemental to our AMSOIL Ea filters,

AMSOIL carries the complete line of Mothers® Polishes-Waxes-Cleaners,

AMSOIL carries the complete line of Twin Air Filters and filter cleaning and oiling products for motorcross enthusiasts,

AMSOIL also carries five different lines of TRICO wiper blades: Exact Fit, NeoForm, Oktane, Winter and Classic,

These companies would not allow us to carry their products if AMSOIL was not a solid organization.
