I went to get a belt for my truck a couple weeks ago. Well no one has it because my truck has after market a/c. I have called every were within a 70 mile radius. I got to looking and the people that put the a/c on didn't even put the right compressor on, the compressor has 8 ribs and all the other pullies have 7. Don't these people know what they are doing?!? Why did they have to make it so hard on me? Does anyone have any ideas. I am going to try to call the place that put the a/c on, if they are still there.

Doesn't it have 6 ribs? I think in 96 they changed all the pullies to 6 rib.

the aftermarket a.c systems use a generic compressor fits many vehicles, you just need to make sure to line up right grooves

But there is still the issue of getting the belt. The belt I need is a 960K7 the closest I have have found is a 960K6. That means it has 6 ribs intsead of 7. Would I be able to just bolt a stock compressor to the rest of the system?
