Message: Its what I am running yes great choice
I always recomended the dynomax 17748 and a
factory tail the duals were always over $500
one day looking at truckperformance.com seen
it for under $300 so I ordered it
In my truck with the port work headers and
high flow cat it was a little loud for me
so I turned the tips into resonators very
easy to do
I used 2 10" long 2 1/8 pieces of pipe
flared the ends just to fit into the tips
drilled 4 rows of 5 1/2 holes packed with
fiber glass and secured with 3 allen head
screws threw the resonator I made inside
don't drill the tips if you do this
But that is just my preferance I do not like
anything to loud just mellow is my choice
I have to say 1 thing it sure added some good
low end torque
on the stock trucks they are not as loud and
sound great
Yes they will clear the spare tire but get 2
2 1/8 heavy duty clamos for the tips the ones
they give you are light duty clamps
It will also take about 2 to 3 weks to get
they are made by pacesetter as ordered and
come 2 1/2 in not the 3" they list the 3"
was for the 92 93 trucks
A great bolt on system comes with everything
to bolt it right on an an hour or so
I love mine have the tips 1" below rear bumper
just had to use a longer bolt and spacer on
the exsisting tail pipe mount the other side
mount they send with it is fully adjustible
Go For It a great system

Message: I've looked at the Predator, too, and TruckPerformance.com only listed them up thru 2001. I happened to be in Phoenix a while back, where they're made, so I called them and learned that the reason they only go up thru 2001 is that they haven't "certified" it for a Dakota later than 2001. I then went by the dealer and looked at their parts book, and there is absolutely no difference between 2001 and 2002's exhaust on a V-6 - so I'll be ordering before too long, too (mine is an '02).
