Can anyone tell me where the coolant sensor is located? I was driving home today and the "check engine gauges" warning light came on. The coolant temp. showed it was at 260. I pulled into a parking lot and waited about an hour. When I started it back up and drove home, the temp. stayed right at operating range with no problems? I checked the coolant level and its ok so thinking maybe its a bad sensor? thanks

posible bad thermostat also it may have stuck

The sensors are located down by the thermostate
housing

pass side
Altonator side is guage sending unit 1 wire

drivers side
other side A/C engine temp to computer sensor
2 wires

If the guage sensor wire cover wares off and
touches ground it will barrie the heat guage
check that also it may have rubd trew somewhere

I would think about a thermostat
2 wires
