 Subject: V-6 Poweraid TB

I jsut installed a poweraid TB and i am getting
this loud whine from my engine. it sounds like air
is ascaping or getting in. almost like a leak of
some sort. its only notice able when i'm on the
gas. any ideas what it could be?

Yeah, they make a whining noise from what I hear. Kinda like a whooshing.
Thats about all they do :0/

yea greg, the air wooshing sound is normal. When ya think about what the tb spacer actually is you will realize why it really does nothing..How does raising the point where air is lket into the manifold going to do anything. I can see where one would work on a wet intake system possibly better atomizing the fuel but on a dry intake sytem such as on our trucks it really doesnt do much. If I were you I'd try to return the spacer and puyt the money into something else. What do you have done so far?

its annoying as all hell. i'm taking it off. i
jsut did a custom grille today. still have some
touch ups to do and the bottom valance. i have to
take off the bumber for that. so that'll have to
wait till next day off. right now i'm really jsut
saving money to do the suspension.

yep...bad idea...imconvinced it makes shifting less smooth also. i thought it added power because i put it on with my intake...boy was i wrong..lol sell it if u can. im putting mine on e-bay. always ask the people here before getting mods...they seem to know what they are talking about

gonna try to get 50-75 on e-bay...but that is really pushing it. never be able to collect that much on this site. also trying to sell my used airaid for like 200 lol(i paid 134 + shipping) but its list price is 220...also trying to get 200 for jet and 50-100 for stock tape deck...more likely to get a bunch of e-bay fees instead.

i sold my airaid on ebay a few months ago and got 66 bucks for it, granted that was w/o the filter because i kept it to make my own intake.
that was still a good deal without the filter.

i have the TB spacer.....yep its a piece of sh!t but i like the noise it makes kinda like a blow off valve. i am thinking of getting rid of it though b/c it doesnt do anything but add some red under the TB. and it is a waste of money spend your $75 on something better like a $75 glass of water......yep thats how big of a rip off it is =)

i put a poweraid on my truck and it works great more get up and go more speed that other guy put it in up side down

i have a automatic i think its a 42re or something like that its a 97 and my truck makes no noise with the spacer runs great

it makes a hissing noise. if u want more power buy a diffent car. it would take $8000 to get a V6 into 15s
