Message: first, is there anywhere you can get the NGK plugs from a parts place. would it be better to stay stock heat range or one colder? i want to do some mods aside from my exhaust and k&n filter. are the autolites still ok to use, obviously the NGK's are better though but looks like you can only get them online and i wanted to pull the plugs this weekend when i tune up and can get the autolites rather easily. i've always used the champions but i'm always up to gaining some MPG or performance.
Second, i changed out my shocks last weekend and now the front makes more noise than it did with the old shocks on. It's only when the truck makes a hard dip, not bumps on the road. I tightened them pretty good enough to squash the absorbers pretty well but it seems like the noise is like a wet rubber slipping sound and you can feel it through the floor. Would sway bar bushings do this and why only since i put the new shocks on. wonder if it could be the shocks themselves. I put the OEM replacement Gabriels on cause i don't have a lot of money to spend, they were like $25 each and the medium grade. It's rides 100% better but the noise is driving me crazy. I hate when you put something new on and it turns up a noise or sound. they have a warranty to maybe i'll replace them and see if they still do it. I did notice that i could probly tighten down the nuts on the shocks a little more to squash the rubber absorbers a bit more but it's not like they are loose. if anyone has any ideas or been through this please let me know the fix. thanks

Message: well, after doing some reading i've learned that Monroe and Gabriel are the worst shocks to use as far as them lasting and the technology used to build them. I always just assumed anything had to be better than factory. but if you think about it the factory shocks have to last the length of the warranty so you'll know they'll outlast the 10-20k you supposedly might get from the Gabriel's and the monroe's. Dam it!! Theres $100 down the drain, factory's are shot and leaking can't put them back on and get my money back! Hopefully i'll at least get the mileage out of them.

Message: sport2002, you can buy NGK plugs at O'reilly's. and for shocks, there are a quite a few people on here that have used Monroe Reflex shocks with great results. others like the Edelbrock IAS.
