Message: The brake pads are a dense hard material. Businesses like cabs put cheap pads on to stop this due to there frequent stop & go situations. Draw back is shorter life. They don't last near as long. On the other hand, My rotors went bad at 20,000. I replaced them with NAPA's best ones. My stock pads were like new so I left them on. About a month after this fix my brakes stopped squawking. So that kind of shot down the cheap pad solution. Regardless the cheap pad repair does work.

Message: Chances are its the brake pads them selves squeaking. Take them off and put some never-seize on the back of the pad. higher quailty brake pads have a stainless steel sim there but never-seize does the trick too. Its just the pad sliding inside the caliper
