Message: The lower end is strong enough to run 6 pounds
boost
A 100 shot of nitrious
upto 5500rpm the valves will float around 5800
You can with some machine work to the crank run
the wider 318 rod also once this is done you can
run an aftermarket 318 h or i beam rod
I am running a set of 318 H Beam in my 3.9
stroker upto 6000rpm
I have also turned the stock lower ends 6000rpm
with no trouble
Use a good synthetic oil but if you paln on doing
this get a hardend pump rod and a good pump
mopar sells the melling high volume its what I
am running in both my strokers at 50 to 70 psi
hughesengines.com has forged pistons and yes 318
and V6 same piston
just to be safer you may also want to get it
computer balanced
you will have to send, pistons, rings, rods, bearings
vibration damper and flywheel if stick to get
the whole assy ballanced
The factory fedral mogal bearings hold up well
or the clevett 77
