Has anyone else noticed a problem starting your dakota in wet weather. I have a 93 dakota and it never starts in wet weather. it sounds like its going to roll over but never does. any hints on correcting this? thanks

As a rule it's the plug wires. In damp weather they jump spark between them selfs and to ground. It can also be a cracked cap or a carbine track on or in the cap or on the top of your coil . But most likely it is your plug wires. Also if the wires are bad they usually work ok once the engine is warm.

I am in the process of changing those, but I have heard lots of stories about older Dodge trucks having this issue. Thanks for the help :)

Not sure if it's a problem is Dakotas, but I've heard of a few people having moisture corrode their distributors from high humidity.

have had my truck for over 7 yrs now
and have put close to 90,000 miles on it
driven and spent time on the ocean front
& north in the mountains
heavy rain, dense fog
you name it!
never had a problem
