Message: Never heard of a bolt falling out like that did
someone work on it sometime and forget to use blue
locktight and tighten it.
The stock runner length should be 16" if you
mesure right thre the tube with the ruller staying
against the same edge
yes inside under pletium cover your 03 probably
does not have the devider
the ports that run to the heads stock length is
designed to give a burst just off idle and flow
best from 1000 to 3000rpm
14" 2000 to 4000rpm
12" 3000 to 5000rpm
shortening the runners to 14 you will notice
more power starting around 2000rpm with a peak
gain around 3000rpm of about 15hp but also
gasket match the ports at the flange they are bad
some so bad you can see where the fuel hits them
this is where the intake meats the head I have
seen them hang down upto a 1/4" into the port
hughesengines.com will have some pics of the
intakes you can see
14" is the perfict setup going more your low end
will begain to drop off
with a fastman or f&b throttle body doing the
port match and the runners is very noticeable
above 2000rpm
