 Subject: Can a V6 handle 33X12.5 + 5.5 Suspension

Ok i just got my Dakota its a 1997 Red 4x4 3.9 V6 5 speed. Its older but that means its purfect for off road. Ive been looking at everything and ive decided im going to be getting a 3 Preformance Accessories body lift right away and a 5.5 Tuff country suspension lift, in the spring but what i would like to know is. Can the 3.9 handle 33X12.5 tires and the suspension lift. If anyone has done this to their truck please email send pictures and let me know how it feels and if Preformance Accessories and Tuff Country are good kits Thanks

I'm sure it'll be able to handle it...but it'll have no balls whatsoever. If you feel like you gotta do it...at the very least buy new gears for it...something like 4.10's maybe. That'll at least help...

Ya i figured it would need at least 3.92's in it. I just looked its only got the 3.55 gear set in it right now. Thanks man

3.92s are still way too low
if your going to do it, go with 4.56s or what ever you can find close to it
