Subject: fuel pump IP: Logged
Message: Problems with fuel would come and go. Put in new relay- ran but failed after afew days. Checked out fuel pump, seemed OK- ran but failed in a few days. Replaced hot wire to pump (low continuity)-running well!---- today.Fails again I may push it over a cliff.

-Possible =problem with splice -under the
underhood relay/fusebox .
Unwind the tape on the harness under it -back abot 6 to 10 inches - find a 'splice' of
3 or 4 wires - redo this 'splice' using a good
quality crimp connector , or solder if possible.

Message: Does it fail more often when the tank is low
If it comes down to the pump get a master pump
It comes with new filter, regulator, gas guage
sender just pop it in and away you go
$200 to $300
stay away from the car quest pumps we have had
many new pumps from them fail in just a month or
2
The carters from auto zone we have had good luck
with
