 Subject: stuck oil filler cap

So...any thoughts on how to get off an oil filler cap that is stuck. Plastic part just turns and clicks like if you were overtightening it. Not sure how to approach this problem, but hoping a hammer need not be involved.

lol damn plastic sh!t..... take a pair channel locks and grab around the lower base and squeeze it just you begin to try and twist it off... it should turn and start to spin out....
