Message: I need to get one of those. But I was told by someone that has one to find the ones made out of ABS plastic. Because the metal draws in more heat thus not giving you as cool of air.

Message: I have one with a k&N and i noticed a major improvement over stock. At least 10-15 more HP around 2500RPM - 4000RPM and that was before i switched over to a v8 TB it pulls alittle now up into 3rd nothing like my supra but its a truck for the cheap price i would say it was worth it

Message: I bought a cheap metal one from EBAY a few years ago, and noticed only a small difference in power but a good 1 mpg improvement. I agree that PVC would keep the air as cool as possible tho.

Message: i used 3 inch stove pipe with a k&n 12 inch filter on the end....to hold it, i use a piece of flat stock steel ,bent one end to 90 degrees and bolted it to the stock wheel well bolt,,,,,then bolt the top to the 3 inch pipe,,,, drill a hole 6 inches away from the throttle body and move iat to there....... block the hole in the manifold, put hot water pipe insulation and walla, cool air for 24 dollars

Message: i have one but made the mistake of getting their airfilter not kandn. So pretty much no difference in power or mpg. get the one with kandn and you will be fine.

Message: I bought one of the Chrome intake ones. I figured for $15 i couldnt go wrong.
Off the bat i could tell a difference with Horsepower in 1st and 2nd gear (manual transmission). After a while i kinda got used t it.
Once the Air filter that came with it got gunked up (bonz i think) i replaced it with a HUGE K&N filter and i noticed even more HP and better Gas milage.
just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.
