Message: There are two 'filters' on the fuel pump
assembly in the tank.
One at the bottom of it-looks similar to a
round air filter - only has a metal plate-
sealing the very bottom.
Another 'filter' is inside the pump assembly
flatter -like a pancake -with a hole in the
center.
And unfortunately -they do NOT last forever.
The gas we get has 'sand' or sulphur in it
and slowly plugs up these 'filters'..
As far as I am aware , the only way to
"replace" them is to get the entire assembly..
Could not find 'replacements' listed anywhere.

Message: Depends on the vehicle. Older Daks like my '92 have an external fuel filter on the left frame rail. He didn't say what year his is.
