 Subject: V6 Short shift kit

Ive searched pretty good for a short shift kit for my v6 3.9L 2002 dakota. the only thing i found was that hurst makes one for the nv3500 transmission, does anyone know of a short shift kit for my truck or if this one is compatable, thanks a lot.

if your truck is a manual trans it is an nv3500.

It can also have the AX15 (my '97 V6 does) and the Hurst shifter i've had in there (for the past 5 years) has worked flawlessly.

fasstdak, i believe in '99 or '00 they did away witrh the ax-15 wand all the trucks got the nv. except maybe the 4 cyl daks.

You can still have one of the following:
1996 to Early 2000
AX-15: Most 2 wheel drives
NV1500: 4 Cylinder
NV3500: 4WD and some 2WD's
Late 2000 to 2004
NV1500: 4 Cylinder
NV3500: 4WD and some 2WD's
