Subject: 3.7 fuel pump IP: Logged
Message: ell I got 47,000 mile on my dak and I think the fuel pump is out. Anybody have this problem yet. It's an 04 club cab 4x4 with the v6. I went to the dump the other day and went a little crazy in the mud, maybe that has something to do with it. It didn't work for me this morning intil I banged on my gas tank and my pump amazingly turned on. Then I went about ten miles on the freeway and left me for dead. I already ordered the part, but havn't started working in it yet. If you guys have any tips please let me know.
Thanks in advance

Message: check the connections first
you must drop the tank out to replace the pump
have fun drain it first or it will be very heavy

Message: Thanks.
I did it this last friday.its my daily driver so I had to get it done quick. I had checked the connections, but they looked fine. The pain was using this tiny sphoning tube that I had. There was probably 10 gallons in the tank so it took around 1 1/2 to drain the tank. Then trying to get that dawm clip of the the tank, its now been pretty much butchered. However, my truck is running fine, I will probably get back under there and put some electrical tape on the clip to make sure it dosen't vibrate off.
