Okay, I've heard of 2 suggested wires to get for the 3.9. the MSD 8.5mm wires and the Taylor 8mm wires. I've checked prices on both of these on summit racing so far and the MSD wires are like $88 and the Taylor wires are about $45-$50. Why the hell are MSD wires so expensive? is it mostly the name you are paying for? I read the info on them, dont get me wrong, they are nice as hell, I just can see myself paying 90 bucks for them. If they had a life time warrenty I would definetly buy them, thing is I don't see anything about a warrenty on either set of wires. Does anyone have these wires? and do they have a warrenty? thanks in advance

If it's a stock engine, these wires won't help any better than stock wires. Belden brand from NAPA is at least OEM quality and more affordable.

...let me refrase that. it's a slightly modified stock motor. headers and all new exhaust except the y-pipe.

i have the taylor spiro-pro 8mm wires. they are a lot better than stock wires for a few reasons, the main being the silicone wrap that resists heat (up to 600 degrees!) much better than the stock ones, and they resist rfi more effectively than stock.
as for the msd wires - don't have em so i can't comment, although they are probably comparable if not better due to the larger size wrap.
