Subject: 3.9 sometimes called a 3.7? IP: Logged
Message: when i was searching through ebay for parts. I noticed alot of sellers listing their parts for the 3.7L engine..
Is this a mistake? do they really mean the 3.9?
I know chrysler has a 3.3L, but I dont remeber hearing about a 3.7L magnum?

Message: Shouldn't be a mistake - the 3.7 design replaced the 3.9.

Message: Not sure, maybe someone else could help with that. Do you mean in a Dakota? I think, like the 4.7, it was used in jeeps first.

Message: Don't get confusing; Jeep used to have a straight 6.
3.7 was birthed around 06.
