Subject: Cat and Muffler IP: Logged
Message: Been searching around the site for a couple hours now looking for information on the Carsound High-flow cat that keeps getting recommended from Truckperformance.com.
Unfortunatly I'm having trouble finding the right cat, when I search by vehicle model they only list cas for the V8. I have a 97 Dak, 3.9l. Anyone have the exact part number or a link that will take me to the proper cat?
I also see the dynomax 11748 recommended alot for a muffler. Anyone have a link for that by chance? I went to speedyparts.com for that and they do list mufflers, just none that match that model number. Did the model number change by chance?
Thanks

Message: Homebrewny,
I have the same vehicle (97 4x4 club cab 3.9) I just replaced everything from the CAT back. I purchased all of my parts from www.Rockauto.com , Here is a list of the parts that I got. All parts are Walker/Dynomax.
1 Walker Catalytic Converter Part # 56024
1 Dynomas Muffler Part # 17733
1 Walker Tailpipe Part # 55143
1 Walker Sectional Pipe Part # 52204
4 Walker 2 1/2" clamps Part # 35337
I think you can also use Muffler #11748 in which is a longer muffler...
All the parts that I got clamped right up and was finished within an hour with a friends help.
If you search around you can get a discount code for Rockauto...
Hope this helps!

Message: mine's a HEDMAN "high flow" cat (I guess cause you can see all the way through it) $40.
No problem with downstream O2 sensor.
