Subject: changing Injectors
IP: Logged

Message:

I am getting ready to change out the plugs, wires, dist. cap on my 95 with 140K on it. Just wondering how difficult it is to change out the injectors and what is the best kind to get. I had one plug up about a year ago and had to have it changed. The truck just seems sluggish and underpowered so I thought maybe the injectors are getting plugged or just worn out. Any help would be appreciated.

Talk to Bruce at www.fiveomotorsport.com for injectors. And there's a how to page here on this web-site.

gears is right. go to five-o motorsports and get the new design Bosch. about 250 but a much better design and tolerances than the standard 1 hole wonders the factory put in.

I put the #19 FMS injectors from FiveOmotorsports in my 95. Checkout Injector Install on this forum, it shows step by step install. 92 - 99 #19 FMS 00 and up #21 FMS

Gave me smoother idle and overall smoother performance, you get 4 holes vice the factory 1 hole. You'll notice a difference.

The only way to go
bosch FMS ford motor sports injectors

4 hole better atomization and gas mileage
mid and top end gains

matched within 2% over factory 10 to 15% this
will hold a steadier air/fuel ratio smother idle
overall smother running motor better throttle
response no low end hp gains but most trucks will
show around 10 foot pounds at the wheels at 1500
rpm this is from having all the cyls getting
the same amount of fuel

You can also see it when you read your plugs stock
injectors some will be tan some white because of
the poor matching with the fms they will all
be very close to each other

I think Bruce now is selling the ornge black 19
racing matcheced within 1% for the same price as
the reg 2%

yes
92 to 99 19
00 and up 21
come with new orings ready to install just put a
little oil on the rings and pop them in it is
nessisary to remove the throttle body to get the
pass side rail off get a new throttle body gasket
for under $2 dont reuse the old one

pull the rail leave the clips on you may need to
twist and pull up hard to get the old ones out
than just flip the rail over remove the clips
and change them out 1 at a time making sure you
have the clip in the right spot than wiggle them
into the intake when you put the rail bolts back
it will seat them all the way in

Its a fairly easy job and well worth it
