what i would do is try to find a rear end out of a dakota RT. They have limited slip (posi) and i believe 3.92 gears. either that or get a locker and 4:10 gears.

if you're not worried about mileage and only concerned with 1/4 mile perf, go with a powertrax locking unit and 4.56:1 gears.

Richmond Gear but you will need to have a
quilified mech instal it the pinion height and
backlash must be right

Auborn gear
detroit locker
mopar sure grip carrier

these are the 3 best out there these will run
an easy 100,000 plus trouble free miles

or find a used one 3.91 there are a lot out there
came with the tow package and posi

4.10 is a little more hard to find

some times you can run an add in your local
paper and find someone who wants the 3.55
just trade them and you can both help each
other do the swap

If you go with new in your housing figure
$500 or more to have it done

Lockers = $$$

If its only a 1/4 miler, I'd say spool it.
