Subject: Trans cooler IP: Logged
Message: I picked up a trans cooler froma 'scratch & dent' sale, everything is there except the instructions. Looks like I need to cut a hard line that runs from the trans to the radiator, to splice in the rubber line to the cooler. which line do I tap into to splice in the cooler? I'm guessing the one that is the return line from the rad. Which one is that?
Thanks......Gears

Message: With a hot engine, while running, set emergency brake and feel the lines with your hands. the return will still be hot but not as hot as the other one is. It will take about 20 miles of driving to get the trany totally heated up. And yes. it goes on the return line. Just be sure you mount it up front so it gets good moving air.
So many problems .... So little time

Message: Ok I'll try that again, Maybe I didn't get it warmed up enough. Because when I tried it they were close enough in temp that I couldn't tell.

Message: Hey Larry,
I've got a '00 I think that the lines are both on the same side of the trans. one is near the rear/ one is near the middle of the trans. Or did you mean the return line is Drivers side of the radiator?
Thanks.........Gears
