I have a 94 dakota with the 3.9. replaced fuel pump about 5 months ago now i'm having problems agian. between full and 3/4 tank of gas it runs fine between 3/4 and half at about every 30 miles it will start to loose power, misfire, and backfire when i accelerate. Turn it off for just a little bit then turn it back on and we're good to go for another 30 miles. below half it just get worse and more frequent, below 1/4 its almost constant and turning it off and on doesn't help. Need some ideas. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may have gotten a bad pump

there was about a year when we got half a
dozzen bad pumps from carquest replaced and
soon after doing same thing

on your 94 there is a shrader valve what needs
to be done is a guage put on than driven untill
it acts up than check presure

It happens
