Lets see ya haul ass with 2000 pounds in that little S2000 because if ya did one of us Gentlemen in the Dakotas with a Trailer just might pick your sorry @$$ up and that would hurt your feelings wouldn't it. Me personally I like the S2000 it is a marvel of engineering and quite a capable sports car I also own 2 Hondas a 90 Prelude and a 97 V-6 Accord but those are the wifeys Cars and i enjoy them quite a bit but there is no comparsion to my OLE DAK she keeps on chugging away with all the abuse i have given her and ask for more JUST LIKE THE 2 HONDAS I HAVE. Just my 2cents worth

RTklr, I can relate to what you said. Raced today [2000, EC] and got beat by Honda's. My only salvation was NO:2 son got them with a Z24 pretty easy. I need to get my act together before I say anything. Thanks. See ya.

i have never lost to an import, and the only one that required a shot of nitrous was a turbocharged Saab.... which got beat severely after a touch of a button.

I have to say, after living in both domestic and import worlds, I have learned to keep my mouth shut and be specific. When it comes to imports, some are VERY impressive. However, when u see those inbreds with the Folger's can duct taped to their exhaust and a half assed paint job, I have to object. If it's in good taste, I applaud. The way I see it, if an import driver is loud and obnoxious, he's the one who orders Uncle Bens.

I'm not saying that I hate all imports and the people who drive them. I actually like some imports when they are done tastefully. I just don't think it is right for import drivers to be on our site. I just said that in good fun. I am very loyal to Mopar. No hard Feelings.

I'm sure that we wern't nocking all Honda's. Just the people that have the exaust done and some bodywork and call it a racecar, and get cocky about it. No need to be talking about "little V6's" when you guys run 2liter 4 cylinders.
And for the record, MY 'CUDA HAS NEVER LOST TO A HONDA. As far as my truck is concerned, its not a racer, ITS A TRUCK. Nothing wrong with adding a few horses either.

I am a die hard doemstice enthusiast and I despise imports (especially hondas) but a friend of mine has a 95 Toyota supra twin turbo. After a ride in that I have respect for one import and one alone. He now has upgraded the turbo along with a long list of mods and lays down a little over 600 hp to the wheels. Its impressive but I still wouldnt buy one. As for hondas, I hate them and have only been beaten buy one and the kid turned out to have a turbo and nos on his civic, but no matter how you slice it, its not a race car, but then again neither is a dakota. So ive have come to the conclusion that opionions are like a$$holes, everyones got one.

Civic, Accord and Element are built in Ohio. How are any of those imports? By your same logic Neons and PT Cruisers are imports because they are built in Mexico, just like Volkswagens which are built by a different German company.

At least DC still use most low quality USA built components.

Actually, every single PT sold in North America is built in Mexico. Neons are built in Belvedere with 45% Mexican parts but under NAFTA they could be 100% Mexican (like the PT Cruiser) and they still wouldn't count as imported.
