Subject: Oil Pressure IP: Logged
Message: I decided to run synthetic 10W-30 in my 3.9L V6 and i am now getting low oil pressure when i come to idle. why is this happening. i have changed the oil pump recently.

Message: Certainly isn't the oil doing it. I went to SYN at 20,000 with no problems at all . Infact it runs better then it ever did. Just over 70,000 now.

Message: syn oil cleans up slude far better then dino oils!
(no matter what brand!)
its quite possible you got some crud clogging the intake screen on the oil pump
however check the smaller things first,
(sending unit)
take it out and put on a mech. gauge to get a proper reading on the oil pressure

also avoid fram oil filters
(been alot mentioned on here about them)
wix are great
or hit you local napa (Napa Gold) filters
their made by wix
