Message: I believe you are talking about the sensor
on the rear differential ?
If so , did you change the 'fluid' in the axle ?
May have grindings in it "contaminates sensor".

Message: Are you talking about the throttle position sensor ? What sensor do you mean by "speed sensor" ? I don't think that's the right name.

Message: No, he's right, it is called the speed sensor. Its the one on the rear diff. I had to replace mine a few years ago. I believe it has something to do with abs brakes.

Message: There's also a speed sensor on the tailshaft of the tranny...I've gone through one of them already. Burned it up cuz my tranny fluid level got too low (tranny pan leaks).
It'd help to elaborate on which of these "speed control sensors" he's referring to though.

Message: Isn't that just called the speed sensor ? Speed controls it, more than it controls speed.

Message: Yeah...both the sensors on the rear diff. and the tailshaft of the tranny are simply called "speed sensors."
