Subject: 1998 3.9 temp guage drops, truck stalls IP: Logged
Message: This only happens when the truck is warm. I'll be driving down the road and the temp guage will drop to cold then the truck will start to stall. Usually only happen when putting the truck under load. Sometimes you can throttle through stall, but if the truck does stall it takes about 10 minutes to be able to restart. Any thoughts?

Message: The PCM does take input from the coolant temp sensor to assist in regulating fuel. I had a coolant temp sensor go bad and cause backfiring.
