Ok...so I took the advice of the majority of those who chimed in regarding spark plugs. About 5 months ago I installed the Autolite 3923's. I haven't really noticed any benefit. In fact, the truck seems like it's lost some low end torque. It's a 99 (60k miles)3.9L V6 with Dynomax superturbo muf...and no...I didn't notice loss of torque with muffler (which was installed about 2 years ago). I want to change plugs...any suggestions besides the 3923's? Thanks

Larry, Has tested the NGK V-power spark plugs and found them to be a better plug than the Autolite 3923s. The Autolites are good but the NGK V-power better yet. I have run both in my Dak and the NGKs are better.
92 and 97 Daks both with many mods.

go to NGK.com I'm gonna get some too, along with the O2 sensors from NGK. those are supposed to be OEM quality, unlike crappy bosh plugs and sensors.

Olindo, get the NGKs at any auto parts store; ie; NAPA, Autozone, Pepboys and others. I'm running the FR5 at .055", I'm also running an MSD system. Use a gap of .040 on a stock ignition. Good Luck and report back. A light tan is a clue to the right combustion temperature.

Go Vpower they run great
I was testing plugs to find something that was
comprable to the halo's with out the $9 price tag
The Vpower at $2.25 each
92 to 95 obd1 .035
96 up obd2 .040
With MSD system .055
FR4 stock range = 3924 5224 autolite champ 12
FR5 1 colder = 3923 autolite
I can not tell the diff between the halo and the
Vpower in my truck they were even described on
another plug manufactures site as the best
conventional plug out there
You will be very happy with them they make a
veery noticeable diff both power and gas mileage
factory uses the NGK NTK o2 sensors
from mopar $108 from NGK around $50 with shiping
you pay for the box that says mopar LOL
ngk.com buy direct and save
stay away from the bosch o2 sensors there junk
had nothing but probs on the modified mag motors
with them
Also with the stock ignition use the napa
mo28 and mo26 cap and rotor solid brass incerts
around $15 and 8mm taylor or 8.5 msd wires
If you want a prety blue cap like I have LOL

doing these things will get more volts to the
plugs and it will idle smother and run a lot better

what would be a preferred gap for an 89 V6 with MSD box ....right now I am using autolite 3923 platnums with a gap of .045 but does not seem to be getting good response on take off then it seems to catch up....8mm wires also...

I run my plugs 10 thousands wider then stock recomended with great satisfaction on a stock ignition. . With an MSD you should be able to go 15 over with as good or better results. I'm doing this on Champion truck plugs. Absolutely the best plugs I have ever run. My opinion only
