Message: All of the V6s sound ricy. That is just how it is. Learn to deal with it or get a V8. I will try to get a sound clip of mine tomorrow for you.

There are a couple of clips I made in this thread.
I really need to get around to making one under load.

Message: I have 99 dak 3.9v6...installed dynomax superturbo muf about 18 months ago. Love the sound..closest to making a v6 sound like a v8...but not quite. Its deep and throaty (go ahead, insert joke here) not at all ricy. The thing to think about also is to keep in mind that if you open up the flow too much, you'll lose some backpressure in the flow and that will result in loss of low end torque. Ive heard that flowmaster can do that.
Peace out.

Message: i have a 98 dak 3.9 with the dynomax supertubro exhaust and i agree with olindo. it's nice. has a nice idle tone and when you open it up it sounds deep, not like a ricer at all. it's quiet in the cab and i can't wait to start my truck up everyday to here it....go with the dynomax
