Subject: glasspacks and muffler IP: Logged
Message: I have a dynomax super turbo on my 02 3.9. it is not loud enough and i was wondering what i could do to make it louder. would adding a glasspack directly after the muffler help with the sound and what would be the down side to this. is it even possible?

Message: Adding a glasspack or any other sound deadening device after the muffler is just going to quiet it down further. Replace the muffler with a glass pack, and then you'll get your noise...though you may regret it. I'm currently running without a catalytic converter and will be replacing it because it is way too noisy in the cab with my Xcellerator muffler and no extra sound deadening.

Message: hey 3.9
do a little searching on here
theres been a few guys that put glass packs and took them back off
said they had a real "rice/Ricey" sound to them
and your Dynomax how long have you had it on?
(time and milage)
if it was just put on give it a little while first
they are fiberglass packed
and with use it "seats / sets up" and the mufflers
become a bit louder an deeper toned
