dynoax super turbo sounds much deeper than a flowmaster. and yes the dynomax is louder than stock. I have the 3" catback super turbo on my 3.9 and it helped performance a little, probably the same as any other catback would. a flowmaster chambered muffler sounds like a ricer on a v6.

I'll try and get a decent sound clip of my Flowmaster 40 w/ a 3 1/2" turndown and Carsound high-flow cat one of these days...I've got one now, but it's with the camera sitting right by the truck in Park and doesn't sound real great. I'll try and get a drive-by so you can hear the engine with a load on it.

ive been planning on doing that too with the dynomax on my truck, however, i havent had time do deal with it. maybe i will over thanksgiving because alot of people want to know what these things sound like.

Im running a Gibson split rear with Gibson Jet-Hot Ceramic coated Headers and it sounds ok not really all that loud, but a hell of a lot louder than stock. :)

flowmaster super 40 series is the best sound in the world! and the best for flow! my sport w/posi.....smokes both tires .....if ya want the noise get the flow!

I've heard those Super 40's sound AMAZING on the V8 Dakotas...but I haven't had a chance to ever hear one on a V6.

I got a Flowmater 40 with straight pipe instead of cat it sounds awsome, I love it when your out side the truck wiht it idleing it sounds really nice. and boy when you get on it it sounds really nice, thou I've never heard a drive by of it but I'm sure its loud as hell. I really gotta get one of my friends to do a drive by for me... I just need some headers and true dual and it'll sound real nice thou i'm saving that for when i put in my 318. Most of my friends got a Flowmaster and I love the sound so i got one my self and I love it to death.

i have super 40 on my 3.9 and love it.I heard some dakotas with other mufflers and just didnt like it at all most people ask if its a v8. I think thats funny

Any way you can get a sound/video (with sound obviously...lol) clip of it? If I don't trade in for another Dakota I've been thinking bout swapping my 40 series with a super 40. Just never heard one on the 3.9.

I will try to get a good rev or drive by i dont know when i will be able to do it. But i do get a lot of good commets on how my dakota sounds.
