Message: i find it hard to believe you're going to replace your o2 sensors, and you have to ask someone where they are. if your truck runs good then there's not even a point in replacing them.

Message: mitchell, depending on engine and year you could have 1, 2 or 4 o2's. located in the exhaust piping. you can buy online from NGK at about half the price at the parts house. are you sure you need to change them?
since it sounds like you don't have much experience working on vehicles, might i suggest you buy a Haynes ($20 bucks at the local parts house) or Factory service manuals. they are well worth the money.

Message: whens the last time it had a tune up? new plugs, cap & rotor new air filter. It might be that sensor on the back of the throttle body, you just have to take it off and clean it. i'd say if all those dont fix the problem it might be a bad o2. always start with the easy stuff first before jumping to conclusions.

Message: yea, that will definately help, plugs should last longer than 20,000 but it wont be a bad idea to change them anyway. there are numerous threads on here if you're planning on getting anything besides whatever plug is recommended. I recommend the autolite 3923's. i cant remember what the gap is though. ive heard alot about the NKG's, larry usually recommends those, i think they're expensive though. summitracing.com has a blue cap and rotor with brass inserts and low resistance wires for a good price, i have one on my truck. that should help conduct spark a little better. definately get a new air filter, if you dont already have a cold air intake, get a drop in k&n filter and remove that useless rubber flap that sits on the left hand side of the grill. as far as i can tell, it doesnt do anything besides hurt air flow into the intake. ive had mine off for like a year and nothing bad has happened so it obviously wont hurt anything. also, a good synthetic oil like mobil one is a plus, helps on smoother start ups and over all protection. if your truck still runs rough, then you might want to check out the o2 situation.

Message: Yup all the above is great advice. You dont want to go off and do the most expensive fix just to find out it wasn't it. Depending on how many miles you have on your truck it wouldn't hurt to replace them but still not necessary. I'm going to assume you have the 3.9 until further information so incase you do change your O2 sensors there's one right in front and right behind your Cat. Converter.
