Message: My truck shows the symptoms for leaking injectors mentioned by Larry in a previous post. How do I check to see if one or more leaks?

Message: read your plugs
a leaky injector will turn a plug black also
cause a very rough idle and poor performance
the comp will lean out others to compensate
for a leaky one trying to adjust fuel ratio
it can also cause it to serge and buck
they should all look the same
what year and what is it doing that you think
you have a leaky one

Message: Happy Thanksgiving. Larry, thank you for the information. I'll do that. In a previous post you indicated that a leaky injector might cause misfiring and poor gas mileage. Mine does this but only between 1/2 - 1 mile after starting when the engine is cold. Letting it warm up before driving doesn't make much of a difference, it will often do it even then. After about a mile it quits doing it and won't do it agin until it has sat for several hours.
