Subject: Electical Problem? Please Help IP: Logged
Message: OK This one totally stumps me. On my 03 dakota, I returned home and turned on the cargo lamp while unloading the bed of the truck. I returned to the truck 10 minutes later to turn the cargo lamp off. It would not shut off, nor would the dome lights. I tried starting up the truck, thinking maybe this would shut it off. The truck started up ok, but then the "service 4wd" light came on. The headlights would also not function. I turned it off and I noticed that if I jiggled the key in the ignition that I could make the headlights function once again, and that got the "service 4wd" light to go off. Does anybody have a clue about this problem? I am really being serious here because I am stumped myself. I have personally never heard of any type of vehicle doing anything like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
